The purpose

When I first read ”The Labyrinth of Reflections”, I couldn’t even imagine, what is hiding under its cover. At this time I didn’t knew what the cyber-punk was. But only after some pages I stepped into a wonderful world, which the writer has created. When I finished the book, first of all I opened the search page and typed only one word – Deeptown. Why did I do this? Because you are griped by the dreadful desire to visit this wonderful world, to see and experience it for real. Those, who have read the book, should understand. Once you wished to find such project on the net, you want to create it yourself. But, unfortunately, only one person can’t manage. And you realize, who swiftly your dream shatter into small pieces, that it’s only a book, fantasies of the author and nothing more…

How happy I was when I found this project! It was exactly what I was looking for – people, my accomplices, worked for the creation of the project “Deeptown”. And now, after some time, when I had become a member of the project, I can often hear a popular question among the users: for what purpose is the Deeptown created? The first thought is – what a popular question…But on the other hand, they ask the right question, and now I’ll try to answer it.

First and foremost Deeptown – is a dream of those people, who has during long time worked for its creation without getting a penny for their work. Members’ opinion is that the project will turn to be a huge progress in the IT-technology development and will settle a new era for the 3D information world.

The global aim of the entire project – is the creation of the virtual city. A city, which has, per se, no limitations. Millions of people from around the world can be connected to Deeptown and enter an astonishing world of virtual reality. Thus, it will be much easier and more convenient to browse the information in their interest and communicate between each other, and with all this going on, not even notice the miles between them. The person gets into a full valued virtual world, into a new world, where one can have a different life, such as one chooses, the appearance of ones own taste will be available and a house “build” with own hands; work at distance and loads of entertainment, whichever one wishes.

One of the most important tasks of the project ”Deeptown” is the creation of a suitable information environment for work. We believe that the three-dimensional space – is one of the best solutions within the world of modern IT-technologies. I am not about to describe all of advantages of the three-dimensional space at this moment, due already available descriptions in the other articles of the project. I would just like to say, that one of the most important tasks, which the developers set themselves as an object – is the creation of the convenient interface for the users of our system.

In the ”deep” the user will receive a free play and the right of choice. One of the project goals is to make Deeptown to a city of freedom – a place, where people can feel totally free and independent.

Project “Deeptown” wasn’t created to let developers just earn some cash, as it often, unfortunately, is use to be today. The project must become a new level of the world-wide network development, which will change the modern perception of the computer and the computer networks. It is urged to easy the work with the computers, after all, the computer is meant to work for the people, not vice versa.

Deeptown – is an analogy of a real city, which will develop, grow and select the best gaining during the years of its existence. The path of the “city in depth” development is completely depending on its inhabitants and their desires and requirements. Every user will automatically become a link in the Deeptown developers’ chain, since the city will grow, and develop thanks to the desires and preferences of its inhabitants. As a living organism, which is evolving and improving itself with every minute, every new user, and one’s actions and desires.

The city will be only such, as its inhabitants want it to be.

(Who knows, perhaps within five, ten years someone will invent the program which is giving the effect of presence within Deeptown?)
